ArchivedLOL Hunt
A daily top chart of the funniest YouTube clips, shared and upvoted by users worldwide.
The bet
The Steemhunt "community-curated daily leaderboard" formula could extend beyond products to entertainment, with user data kept private via decentralized storage.
What worked
Won 2nd Prize in the Blockstack "Can't Be Evil" contest and reached #5 Product of the Day on Product Hunt, validating the decentralized-storage curation pattern.
What broke
The decline of the Blockstack ecosystem, in particular its pivot to Stacks (a Bitcoin L2), hollowed out the app ecosystem LOL Hunt was built on, leaving the original Blockstack-era apps without a living platform underneath them.
What it seeded
Extended our "curated daily upvote leaderboard" UX beyond products into entertainment, and gave the team hands-on decentralized-identity/storage experience (Blockstack Auth + Gaia).
