A token-trading app where "hTokens" are backed by an original token but built to amplify its price swings. Trade hot tokens with extra beta.
The bet
Traders want higher-beta exposure. Wrap an existing token in a bonding-curve "hToken" that amplifies its moves, giving a leveraged feel without lending or perps.
What worked
Demonstrated extreme amplified moves (e.g. an hToken running +4,985% / 24h against its base) and reached real visibility: ranked in the Base app's top 12. Markets paired each token with its hyped twin (DICKBUTT ↔ hDICKBUTT, BNKR ↔ hBNKR, etc.).
What broke
Two reasons: (1) in a market where meme-coin volatility was already extreme, there wasn't enough demand to seek out even more volatile trades; and (2) because it used a bonding-curve price model rather than custody, there were inherent limits to how accurately it could amplify the underlying's volatility.
What it seeded
Pushed Mint Club bonding curves into "derivative-like," structured/amplified exposure, beyond plain token/NFT creation.
